La dolce vita – a guide to Olbia

Processed with VSCO with j2 preset

Ciao Ragazzi,

This is my easy and short guide to Olbia. I am going to give you some advices and of course some food and shopping tips.

How to go to Olbia, Sardinia ?

Flights to Sardinia are between 150-300 approx. if you book in advance.

Olbia has an airport not far from it’s city center so you can easily take a cab for 25 euro or just grab the bus (the ticket is 2 euro)

I stayed in an Airbnb in the center of Olbia, which I can highly recommend you even if you are more than 4 people (also with children). But be sure you have a supermarket and bus station near by.

Where to shop in Olbia ?

Of course, you will find a lot of shops in the city center (united colors of Benetton, Swarovski, Calzedonia,..) but keep an eye out for the more authentic shops. There is a small market next to the city hall with local produced food, clothing and accessories. I bought a straw hat made in Florence there and im super surprised about the quality.

You also have a cute and local Market on Saturdays at Via Andrea Palladio in Olbia. They sell food like cheese, sausages, ham, olives and Italian cookies but also linen clothes, baskets, handmade pearl accessories and a lot of other cute stuff.

i also suggest you to make your souvenirs shopping on local markets and supermarkets because its way cheaper than the souvenir shops and more authentic.

Where to eat in Olbia ?

Breakfast – you can buy some food at Dettori market and make a delicious self made Breakfast. Also check out Italian pastries in local bakeries.

Lunch – Jl Panzerotto (Corso Umberto I, 64, 07026 Olbia OT, Italie)

Dinner – L’Essenza Bistrot (Via delle Terme, 10, 07026 Olbia OT, Italie)

Desert – La Pecora Nera Gelateria (Via Luigi Galvani, 70, 07026 Olbia OT, Italie)

Cocktails – Art Academy (Via delle Terme, 1, 07026 Olbia OT, Italie)

Did someone say “Beach” ?

Porto Istana : too crowded, no shade and street sellers every 10 seconds trying to sell you some trash. 5/10

Pittulongu : crowded but a very big and long Beach. Good if you want to rent some loungers (7euro per lounger / 2 loungers + umbrella =20 euro)  7,5/10

Costa Corallina : Not easy to get there, almost 1 hour and 2 buses from Olbia but it was for me the most beautiful beach. (right side) you can find shade, the view is breathtaking  and the water is crystal clear – feels like the Caribbean 10/10

La Maddalena : its a day trip, you should book a tour in advance online but not on a ship with more than 100 people because otherwise the places and beaches you will visit will be too crowded. Beautiful beaches on the trip (on spargi especially) but a very touristic activity. 9/10

What I wore in Olbia :

Top – Tally Weijl

Skirt – Zara

Sunnies – Ray ban

Sandals – No name

Pizza bag – Zara

jewelry – (necklace) bijoux 7bis ; (earrings) Rossmann

I hope you enjoyed my tips ❤
